Stress and Anxiety can be overwhelming.

"The more time we can put between a big emotion and our reaction - the less negative results we will create in our life".

Below are some practical steps you can impliment.

Complete one or more off the list below - then reassess how you are feeling... Repeat as necessary.

* Spend time with people you love:

* This can help us feel more grounded and connected by noticing the love we have for others.

Spend time with people you make you feel loved:

* Experiencing love is good for your soul - take the time to notice the difference.

Spend time in natures: (plants or animals or both)

* Nature is a great regulator; it does not judge - it is mostly calm and it is soothing

Watch a sunset or sunrise

* Watching a sunset can be a great way of completing - a day / moment / week / month / chapter.

* Watching a sunrise can be a great way of starting - a day / moment / week / month / chapter.

* Both may remind us that the sun will continue to rise and fall independent of our experience.

* It may help to recall that: we have survived 100% of the day we have faced - and - it is likely to continue.

* Jump in the ocean, a river or a pool:

* Time in water can both absorb excess negative energy and also leave us feeling energised.

* It can be powerful to submerge yourself in water and scream - bleeding off excess energy.

* Notice your breath:

* If you are anxious, stressed or scared (breathing shallow and fast).

- take time to gradually slow it down and gently breath naturally deeper.

* If you are anxious (breathing erratically).

- look to find a pace that is more calm and relaxed.

* If you feel flat or depressed  (exhale sounds exaggerated or requires energy to do).

- increase your breathing rate and depth concentrating on the inhale.

- try 30 seconds at a time and reflect on how you feel.

* Eat some high energy food:

*Fresh fruit, vegetables and if please some good quality meat.

* Drink some water:

* Water is the foundation of the human body, dehydration can bring us down in many ways.

* Walking is a fundamental movement pattern that can help regulate; mood, hormones, digestion and breathing.

* Meditate:

* Meditation is at its most basic an opportunity to pause and notice where you are at.

It can be done alone or with others, in silence or with music, self guided or guided, specific or loosey goosey.

Whatever your method, meditation can be a truly powerful experience.

www.youtube.com can be a great resource for guided meditations.

Most big feeling are there to teach us a lesson.
